Guilt, failure and confusion

I am going to try to be honest in this blog. These are three feelings you will need to get used to if you are going to change your habits.
When you start to audit what you actually throw away, you will quickly feel guilty about the habits you have had for years, without even thinking.
The first time you forget your reusable water bottle, or realise you are hungry, only to be faced with a sea of options all wrapped in plastic, you will think that you have failed.
And as soon as you do the slightest bit of research on micro-plastics, you will feel totally confused as to what to do for the best.
Some of the confusion will ease as you start to learn more, some of the guilt will wear off as you realise the positive changes you are making, and a few episodes of failure will make you never leave home without your reusable water bottle.
As creatures of habit we don't like change. But it has to happen and the first time you influence someone else to make changes these feelings will be replaced with pride.
Good luck!
