About...

In January 2018, I gave myself a challenge to reduce my waste, especially plastic, within a year.  I took on this challenge having been awoken to the desperate state of our plastic planet by Blue Planet 2.

In October, I participated in a 24 hour vigil at De Montfort University.  My speech, which you can view below, was so well received that I bravely posted it on Facebook.  So many friends got in touch that I felt I needed to share what I have learnt with others, so that they too can make individual changes that will make a difference to our world.

We have been told by the UN we have 12 years to limit the effects of climate change.  12 years is nothing.  We didn't listen in the 80s or 90s and now sadly in 2018 we have a ticking time bomb that we simply cannot ignore.

If you subscribe to my blog I will send you a daily email link with an idea of something you could change.  You might not have the capacity right now to make each and every change but as long as you do something, something is better than nothing.

Remember something is always better than nothing.

My speech used facts, quotes and information that I found through watching documentaries such as the Secret Life of Landfill and Drowning in Plastic, using Instagram and reading How to Give Up Plastic by Will McCallum.
